Extensions that do not have a "Remove" button are installed by other software and are not under control of the Firefox extension manager.

Such globally installed extensions are usually found via a registry scan or are installed in a location that Firefox scans for installed extensions.

Extensions installed this way need to be removed via the settings (options/preferences) of the program that has added this extension or you need to uninstall this program via the Control Panel.
In Firefox you an only disable such an extension.

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information (bookmarks/history/passwords). Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

when you go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, there should be a ID displayed next to the extension. search for that id on your filesystem (include all hidden folders), the extension will be named <ID>.xpi - if you delete that file it will also be gone from firefox...

Dashlane plugin is included in the list of Plugins submitted with your original question (to see the list submitted, to the right of your original question, click "Question Details" then click "More system details" at the bottom of that expanded list).

Removing as indicated in the link to removal instructions that I sent in my first reply, should remove everything associated with Dashlane. As a precaution, such removals should always be done with Firefox closed.

In a blank tab, type about:plugins in the Location/URL bar and look at the "Path" information for Dashlane. Then follow the instructions in the article section below to manually remove it.

Does that solve the problem?

So I did some digging, and found the way to remove it on the Mac. The issue is that it installs the plugin in the Mozilla directory, not the Firefox one.

So navigate to Library/Application Support/Mozilla/Extensions

Within there you will find the Dashlane folder. The folder name is a series of numbers and letters, like below. Just purge that folder and restart Firefox.

xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx@dashlane.com

This removed it from Firefox for me.
