How can I stop the add multiple bookmarks pop up from filling the width of the screen?

Whenever I try to add more than one link to my bookmarks, the pop up that asks to add those links fills the width of the screen. It happens when I try to add all the current tabs to bookmarks, as well as when I use the add on, multi links. This makes it really hard to add links because I have to go to the other side of the screen to find the ok button.

I want to resize the pop up to a more managable size. However, even though I should be able to resize it, I cannot figure out how. I've also tried minimizing it, but the next time I tried to gather more bookmarks, it was back to the big size again.

After posting, I tried one more time to resize the pop up. This time it worked and it seemed to stick. I think that I may have had an add on (multi link) on. I thought that I had tried resizing without that add on being on. I already knew that I was unable to use search features on different sites with the add on active.

So my problem has been solved. Even if I don't know what caused the big size to begin with.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.
