the web address is continuously showing as google and not what the page is on or if i type in another address this will show when i open a new tab and not what the page is

When i open a recently closed tab it still comes up google.co.uk and not what i am on ie hotmail etc yet when i type in hotmail at the top it will go to that page but anything i open from then on will say hotmail in the address bar and so on. i therefore can not copy the web page to send it to a friend as it only says what i have put in.
