After downloading 4.0.1, I cannot open a new window using 'cmd-N' if the current active Firefox window is on an attached display. It works if the current Firefox window is on my primary display.

MacBook, Mac OS X, 10.5.8. The problem only occurs if my primary display (has the toolbar) is a second attached monitor, and I am trying to open new windows on my laptop monitor. If my laptop has the toolbar, I am able to open new windows in both displays (no problem).
