when i move the slider on the right it splits the screen and I cant get rid of it
the screen splits and i have to reboot

That is not a default option in Firefox. You will have an add-on such as Fox Splitter or Split Pannel. If you do not want that functionality you can uninstall the add-on, for details see Disable or remove Add-ons.

There are no add ons that I can find
Firefox has no built-in option to split the screen. What extensions do you have installed? To find the list of extensions, in the Tools menu select Add-ons, then select the Extensions panel.
I found the addon...It was a split browser...Thank you so much!
