Why isn't Firefox saving my log in info after I've used the "Remeber Me" option? Every time I arrive at a frequently used website where I've previously indicated to the Firefox browser to save my log in info, I still have to log in manually. The past versions of Firefox weren't like this. I'm running Firefox on both my Imac (OS 10.5.8) and on my Mac Book Pro (Snow Leopard), and on each machine the latest version of Firefox does the same thing. I don't have this problem with Safari, but I prefer to use Firefox so please let me know if there's anything I can do to fix this problem.

If you save your name and password in the Password Manager then that has no other effect then that Firefox can fill those name when required. Firefox doesn't log you in automatically. Many websites can use a cookie to remember you, so you do not need to log in.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie that you must allow: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions" Also make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences" "Browser History"

I think he means he sets the website to remember him (aka accept the cookie) then when he comes back like say the next day he has to log in again. I have this problem with newegg.com I also have FF set to remember my username and password so all I have to do is click login because FF does remember my UN and PW... but even though I have accept all cookies and keep them till they expire and the login cookie is a 30 day cookie, every time I close my browser and go back to newegg in a couple of hours (sometimes its a little longer) I have to log in again. I checked and sure enough the logon cookie is gone from newegg's folder in my cookies. I dont have FF set to clear history on close either.

Yeah - this is still happening to me. I tried a lot of things:
- set FF to save history (default behavior)
- customize the save history
- clear cache
- delete cache from profile and have FF rebuild it
- repair installation
- completely uninstall - using Revo to get rid of as much as possible, but keeping personal settings so that I don't have to rebuild. Then installing fresh.
Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium FF 3.6.8 (x86) Comodo Antivirus and Defense+ (Safe mode - I'm going to try disabling this)

Disabled Defense+, FF still forgets.
FF used to fill in the blanks for me when I went to login sites but now all my passwords are gone and all the records of the sites are missing when I go into FF Tools/ options/ saved passwords? Why (or more importantly where are they)?
