Hi,

On Hulu I can't get any shows to play. If there is an ad at the beginning, that will play, or most of them it seems, but the video never starts.

Any idea why this may be occurring?

Thank you.

In my case, I noticed that Adobe Flash Player 10 would not update to the latest version of it. I would go to the site, try to install it, and no luck. I then uninstalled the old version, rebooted, and tried to install the new version, no luck either.

Then I downloaded the Flash player uninstaller from Adobe,

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

used that, then rebooted and installed the newest version automatically through Firefox.

I have the EXACT same issue and its bugging me big time. I recently got a new laptop that runs windows 7 and for the last several weeks I have been watching videos on various sites such as HULU just fine. Then the other day I updated to Firefox 3.6.6, and all of a sudden videos on several major sites will no longer play. The videos play the advertisements just fine, but when it gets time to load the actual video I want to watch it never loads. Eventually I get an error message in the video box that says I might have a bad internet connection. The sites that I have found to not play videos so far are:

Hulu.com ESPN3 NBC.com ABC.com MTV.com VH1.com History.com CNN.com

Ect., the list goes on and on. But the strangest thing of all is that flash video from other certain sites such as YouTube or Vimeo still play great in Firefox, as usual. AND the videos listed on the above websites also play great as usual in Internet Explorer 8, which is ironic because I mainly use Firefox because of the No Script ad on. IE has something similar but it isn't as secure(I've heard). And the main reason I got this new laptop was to watch videos on the go, mainly from sites like Hulu and ESPN3. So now I cant do that without using a browser I hate using, instead of Firefox, the browser that I love.

The main thing I have noticed about this problem is that the websites that will not play the video are all sites that I would call "official" websites. In other words they show content that is owned and copyrighted by a major entertainment corporation. Sites that have user created videos like YouTube or Vimeo, or sites that allow anyone to upload videos seem to still play as usual. Very strange but it must be a problem with the way Firefox is talking to the filters on the "official" websites or something.

Anyway I hope there is a fix soon I hate having to now watch all my videos on IE.

How do you break something trying to fix Farmville? Hulu probs same as above. ADS LOAD FINE LMAO then the tv segment tells me there is bandwidth problems. Glad I found this page before douching my flash. Another fine product, Mozilla. Makes my PC function like an iPad- no FLash video. PATCH NOW!

So I'm not going nuts! I even tried to not touch the monitor "that way". I am now forced to re-direct to IE, where it's working fine.

I'd be happy to back out to the previous version of Firefox at this point. I'm pissed.

I have this same issue with Hulu on FF. I've been using this for ages and it just stopped working recently. No changes on my end. The ads run, and the main video just sits there. It's definitely FF related. Chrome works fine. Please fix!!!!

It's not only Hulu, but any site like it (play ad, play main feature). Anyway, I reverted back to 3.6.7, removed the auto update feature, and everything's fine.

Found 3.6.7 at http://www.soft82.com/get/download/wi.../mozilla-firefox/ (use Mirror 2).

Disable auto update, if set, otherwise, you'll be back where you started. (Tools/Options/Advanced/uncheck Firefox auto update)

Come on, FF fix this already!
