When I shut Windows down, I want Firefox to quit without prompting me.

I would like Firefox to simply quit when I shut down the machine. I don't much care whether it saves my context or not, I just don't want it to generate a prompt that delays the shut down. I saw the settings that are required for the prompt to appear, and I don't want to change them just to make the prompt not appear.

You can reset the warn prefs on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to get that confirm dialog back. browser.tabs.warnOnClose , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries browser.warnOnQuit , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit browser.warnOnRestart , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

There should be a "Don't show me this again" or "Remember my decision" checkbox on the dialog box.

Yes, there is such an option on the dialog box. How do I reinstate the dialog box if, for example, I want to save a particular Firefox session? Once I set it to 'don't ask me again', how to I go back to before?
