I deplore the way the browser looks now and want the old look back... I have vision problems and am totally ignorant about computers. I finally found FF and the last version was PERFECT. I could clearly see it, knew how to use it, and LOVED it and I WANT IT BACK. SIMPLY... Because I am so ignorant, the instructions I have seen so far might have been written in a foreign language. Is there a SIMPLE way to restore the OLD LOOK and feel. Keeping all the new security and other stuff is fine...although I was fine with the way it was, but I will have to find another browser if someone cannot help me fix the image back to the way it was. Please, why do they upgrade this stuff and not leave a way to keep the old look for those of us who don't want to change? If anyone can help me...I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi,

We appreciate your feedback on the recently redesigned Firefox browser.

We set out in 2021 to reimagine Firefox's design to be fast, modern and inviting. With the latest 89 release, we’re bringing you a modern new look designed to streamline and calm things down so you have a fresh new web experience every time you use Firefox.

Is there anything in particular that you would like to see improved or fixed?

I would love to be able to go back to the previous look. Due to a vision problem, the tabs are now almost impossible to delineate, the text appears to fade, the icons are less clear and I would love to have darker, BOLD text an option. Because of the way I see color and the difficulties with contrast a dark screen with light lettering won't work for me. Is there any way to get the old look back? Or have more flexibility in adjusting the font?...particularly the ability to bold and darken the lettering and icons? Also the tabs need some kind of border around them and not fade off into the ether like they do. Because the icons are not bold and clear like they were, it is almost impossible for me to be able to tell where one starts and the previous one stops. FF needs to have the ability to leave the old look or return to it EASILY...PREFERABLY WITH ONE BUTTON AND NOT HAVING TO GO TO MULTIPLE SCREENS and/or allow the user to CHOOSE if they want the new look when it upgrades. I understand the need to update the workings but how a browser looks should be left up to the user. Because of folk's visual acuity differences, those changes should PREVIEW and then be ADJUSTABLE FULLY. This would allow the user to accommodate their needs, open the browser up to new users and be a major selling point for all demographics and not simply appeal to Mozilla workers. If you can help me...I have been through all the themes, but all I would like is to either get the old look back or have more choices in how the new look works. Thanks so much.

While this helped a bit it still doesn't address the issue about the icons being hard to discern and the inability to change the font...particularly the size and there is still not a clear delineation between the tabs. Since the icons are so difficult to make out, finding the next tab when it is hard to read the font, becomes extremely difficult. I have seen tons of complaints about the 'new' look so it seems that having a button to allow one to choose the style of an older version (for appearance only) is something that would be relatively simple to do and alleviate much of the problem. You should be able to click the button, have the appearance preview on the screen and have a 'use this appearance' verification button and cancel option...similar to the way the 'themes' option works. Not everyone is comfortable making 'config' changes and there are those like me who fear missing a step and being unable to get things right again so the easiest method should be used for these types of issues. Thank you for trying to help me. I know it can be frustrating to try to assist someone who is leery about computers and totally ignorant of what may seem like simple things to others and I appreciate your assistance:)).

I've been saying the same thing and so have a lot of other people. I think Firefox needs to get some people with vision problems in their process. They don't seem to realize how difficult they have made it for us to use.

This is a massive pain - the tabs quite literally are the same colour as the background. Thanks for spontaneously making massive design changes with no notice nor option to change back, and putting on a veneer of "we're doing it for streamlining" while stripping any semblance of accessibility and user-friendliness.
