On Monday September 25th from 10PM EDT - 12AM EDT (2AM UTC - 4AM UTC on September 26th), we will be performing system maintenance on the Firefox Accounts databases for two hours. During the maintenance window, there will be brief periods of a few minutes where users will not be able to login to their accounts. Please try again at a later time.

How can I permanently force firefox's automatic updates to be turned off? Which guy modified the original design for the new version of Firefox bookmarks? Is there something wrong with that man's brain? Is the spacing of the new bookmark item too large to read? It's very uncomfortable.

Yes you can turn off the automatic updates by clicking the menu on the top right corner and selecting 'Settings'. From there in the default general section, you scroll down until you see 'Firefox Updates' and you can choose the option for Firefox to check for updates but lets you choose when to install. (Basically not automatic updates)

How do you completely turn off update checks in Firefox v64? You can use a policies.json file to disable updates for all users. https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/master/README.md or https://winaero.com/blog/disable-updates-firefox-63-above/

You can use a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the Firefox installation folder instead as also listed in the article, so no need to use GPO keys in the Windows Registry. • https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customizing-firefox-using-policiesjson

Note that you are running a Beta or Developer Edition version and these branches update twice a week. If you do not want to update that often then switch to the release update channel.

Why mess about try anothert browser...... I'm trying Brave at the moment.

The nextdoor neighbour is NOT incharge of 'MY' computer nor is Firefox! If tyhere is updates they should ask not do it behind close doors. I have crap cleaner deleting the hidden update folder..... shoddy I know but it works.
