(SOLVED) --- Images (png, jpg, jpeg, ect) downloads are automatically cancelled all of a sudden? happening since yesterday

This has never been an issue before and I don't really know how to fix it. I've read through this article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files) and I still don't know how to fix this.

I went down the "change file type settings" route and I didn't see a file called "handlers.json" in my profile folder, so I left it alone. (there was something in there that said JSON but it wasn't specifically called handlers.json so I didn't want to mess with it or change it)

I tried to go into my firefox "Files and Applications" settings and change "Always ask" to "Save files to" and tried some different folders, and it didn't fix the issue, image downloads were still cancelling. I changed it back to "Always ask" and it still didn't fix the issue.

It doesn't appear to be an issue with my firewall/antivirus or something because I checked Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, and Ditdefender and nothing relevant is showing up to solve my problem.

This has never happened before, or has been an issue before, but for some reason since yesterday, every time I "save image as" (I mainly save images off of Twitter) it shows up as "cancelled" automatically from the toolbar icon... It sometimes goes through and downloads once I click said toolbar icon and press the "retry" buttons, but it's incredibly annoying having to do that for EVERY image file i want to save just to get it to download properly. why does it do this?? please help, this is getting a bit frustrating....

other notes: I only save image files into my "Documents" I recently synced dropbox with my documents folder last week and it's been working fine, so I doubt that's where the issue comes from but I could be wrong?? I'm on windows 10, firefox browser The only addons I have enabled are Enhancer for Youtube, Adblocker Ultimate, and Malwarebytes browser gaurd but they have never given me issues before Not sure if that information helps at all but i hope it does

ty for reading

UPDATE: I rebooted FireFox in "safe mode" and it seems that the issue has been solved. Images from twitter and google are being saved to the folder and downloaded properly. I wonder what could've caused the issue in the first place... I wonder if the issue was with my add-ons or my firefox browser settings? Should I just reset my firefox browser settings back to default?

UPDATE 2 (SOLVED): After refreshing firefox and testing some things out, I figured out that the Malwarebytes Browser Guard extension was the culprit of preventing image downloads. I have no idea why. The extension also has no option of preventing this.
