Password Shortcuts
I have an urgent problem, help is appreciated!
I had an important password stored on my firefox as a shortcut, however i got the 'cannot open XPCOM' issue which forced me to re-install firefox. when i did, i saw a page that said all my data should still be there, however everything was wiped clean and i made a new account on firefox. If my data and pass keys are stored on my PC, how do i access them and apply them to my new account?
-thank you! :)

What Firefox version were you using previously as it sounds that you hadn't used that Firefox version for some time, so it is possible that you (re)installed a newer Firefox version that has created a new profile ?
If you lost personal data then it is possible that a new default-release profile folder has been created. See "Determine if Firefox has created a new profile":
You can open the about:profiles page via the location bar to check whether multiple profiles are present and what profile Firefox currently is using.
- Do NOT click any Remove button on this page.

Firefox 67 and later can use a dedicated profile for each of the Firefox update channels and will lock the profile, so it can only be used by Firefox in a specific installation folder.
Hello, thank you for the reply.
yes, i think it was a new version of firefox, but im not sure if my past bookmarks weren't saved onto an account- and if they were, I have no clue what that account is since it was lost with the re-install.
I've since ran into another problem- my firefox is showing the 'XPCOM' message again. I'm lost as to what I have to do or why this is happening
