Cannot update Firefox
I use Firefox on a work computer ... which means I do not have Admin rights ... which means that Firefox refuses to update without getting IT involved (which involves initiating a Help Desk ticket) ... each and every time ... for each and every Firefox user. Any ideas?

Unless you can install the full version without IT permission . . . .
Can't you install the Mozilla Maintenance Service ?
This service is meant to install updates in the background as a normal user that doesn't have administrator right ?

The article doesn't actually mention Admin rights, so I don't know. It would appear that this Service gives the user the choice to have updates done automatically, or request approval first.
You need to grant UAC (administrator) confirmation once when you install this service. Once installed properly with the proper right to access the Firefox program folder, this extension can handle updates in the background without further administrator permission.

Thank you! I'm forwarding this info to our IT people, so they can review it.
