Apparently, Firefox 71 for Mac no longer allows tabs be dragged within a browser window to reposition them. Is there a way to fix this? Am I missing a setting?

Formerly, one could reorder tabs in a Firefox browser window by clicking and dragging. One could also click and hold a tab and move it to create a new window or take a tab from one window, click and drag it to another window. I am no longer able to do this on my Mac laptop, after updating to Firefox 71. I can't seem to find a special setting in Firefox 71. Is there one or a way to allow tab movement? Or do I need to revert to the previous version of Firefox?

Hmm I'm on Mac & I just tested this. This feature seems to be working just fine. Which MacOS are you on? I wonder if this is something being caused by Catalina. I'm still on Mojave.

I'm still on High Sierra. 10.13.6. Had heard many negative things about Mojave and elected not to upgrade. Do you think that's the problem?

I have v71 on my 10.13.6 iMac and have no problems with tabs and new windows. Have you tried trashing FF and re-downloading? Deleting preferences from the libraries etc?

I also tested on High Sierra as well and tab dragging to reposition tabs was working too. So it looks like you're good to stay on High Sierra. :)

But I just noticed you have a accessibility feature enabled. I'm wondering if it's somehow blocking the tabs from being dragged around. Let's try disabling that. See this article for that: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/accessibility-services#w_how-do-i-disable-firefox-accessibility-service

If that doesn't work, let's try disabling all your addons then restarting Firefox to see if tab dragging works again. If that fixes it, then we just need to re-enable each addon one at a time until we find which one breaks tab dragging. Steps for that here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons#w_disabling-and-removing-extensions

Thank you! I think rebooting Firefox did the trick.

hiiii...!

Ok, seems that just restarting the computer resolved the issue.

Thank you.
