Not a question, I fixed slow firefox by going right clicking on the exe file, properties, compatibility, and chose Windows 8, now it is lightening fast.
I tried all the internal fixes and it was still slow as molasses. Somehow the compatibility setting got changed probably during an update. Such a simple fix I wanted others to know to try it.

Do you run Windows 8 now and the compatibility was set to something older? Or do you run Windows 10 now and you set Windows to run Firefox as though it was running on Windows 8?
