Is there a way to save all tabs as a group (I have about 60 tabs opened) before attempting to update to a newer version of FF?

Geplaatst

I don't want to lose all of the tabs that I have opened in my current session. Saving them individually would be very time consuming. Can multiple tabs be saved as a group so that they could be retrieved later?

Note that Firefox 68 is about to be released during the next days.

You can backup the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file in the profile folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

1) I was not able to find the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file

2) You apparently removed my post from the (so called) support forum, apparently assuming that you had resolved the issue. What a moronic thing to do.

But then, my first encounter with this (so called) support has been abysmal in so many ways. Wow...I have liked and used FF for years...and it is becoming clear that this ship is sinking fast.

Very disappointed.

Hello roger.me99,

The past few hours this is the the third thread you started - the other two are :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1264171

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1264176

This is not a "so-called" support forum - you will get all the support you need, but please be patient (and give cor-el a chance to help you).

I have multiple threads because firefox is having multiple issues. Is that my fault?

Is there a rule against having multiple threads? Why even bring that up?

Ugh

This place is a mess.

I shouldn'd have to be pissed off about this. I have been very happy with FF for many years. I am only here because FF is now falling apart at the seams. This abysmal so called support forum is merely one symptom of a larger problem. I am guessing some smart people who originally made Firefox good...are gone.

Cor-el...obviously knows firefox. But removing my thread after emailing me ONE proposed solution, (which wasn't a solution) is poor policy. Threads in forums are supposed to stay in place, allow back-and-forth, mistakes, corrections, ebb-and-flow....interaction between those seeking help and those able to help.

So this is not really a forum at all. It is like a thing where somebody looks up something in a knowledge base, shoots off the first answer that might be somewhat close, and calls it done.

So when I refer to this as a "so called" support forum, I am not wrong . It should not be called a forum because that term means something to anyone who participates in actual online forums.

McCoy...white-nighting is such a cliche. Allow me to be upset with Firefox, and allow Cor-el to ignore me, rebuke me, or help me as he sees fit. It is none of your business.

I gave you a link to your other two threads, in case you thought that one of them had been removed (as you indicated).

Merely trying to help .....

Always such a pleasure trying to help nice people like you.

I am a nice guy McCoy. I am just incredibly frustrated right now with multiple issues with firefox.

And you are a typical idiot who inhabits online forums (so called in this case) looking for opportunities to boost your ego. You want to be acknowledged by Cor-el, or anyone else, for calling me out. Your condescending attitude, your sarcasm, etc, it is all a cliche. There are literally thousands of small people just like you, doing the very thing you are doing at this very minute. So feel special. Hopefully somebody in this little group will give you that much needed pat on the back. DO you feel a little bigger? Are you gonna keep coming back at me until you have chased me away in shame? Good plan...

So no, you're not trying to help. If you were trying to help you would have STF up as I requested. You are offering no helpful information.

And FYI, I can not see this thread in the (so called) forum. The other two are visible, not this one. I am responding to this thread via links in email

Dude you're not looking for support, it seems that you're out to beat up on the contributors who come here to help you.

How's this?

Right-click on a tab, then select Bookmark All Tabs, and then name the folder that will be created. You'll find that new folder in your Bookmarks Menu.

I don't remember Firefox 66-67, but in Firefox 68, it's easier to access Bookmark All Tabs using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+d.

The right-click method has two steps now:

  • right-click > Select All Tabs
  • right-click > Bookmark Tabs
