Note: My WOT add-on reports this as an unsafe website.

”Webpage is slowing down your browser” This is the new way the browser tells you there is a problem with the script program(s). https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-script?cache=no

This does not solve my problem as I want to be able to access the website. I tried the whitelist and the blacklist options and still the site does open. I've removed the white list and blacklist on this website and now I'm getting an error saying I need to restart my browser, which I've done, I've cleared the cache, cookies, re set firefox to the dafault settings, and still I'm not able to access the site. As I say, now the following comes up per the attached.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

The only box that opens is the "a web page is slowing down your browser......", per the attachment.

more options

Reboot the computer and try again.

If that box comes up again,

A way out of a trap page is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.

Solution did not work. Shutting down my lap top and re-starting it also didn't work.

Remove History For One Site

Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.

The web page still come up with "you need to re-start your browser......"

You can find the Restart button on the "about:profiles" page :

Type in the address bar about:profiles and press Enter.

Thank you for your advice. I went into "about:profiles" and clicked enter and nothing happened, so I pressed "restart normally", the site closed and re-opened, I tried to access the site in question, and "you need to restart your browser" message came up again. This is why I originally logged this query.

Then " a web page is slowing down your browser" message came up.....

Thanks, I've logged the issue with IQ Option too (the site I'm trying to get into). Going so see what they come back with also, and if not satisfactory, I'll go the route you have suggested (creating a new profile). Will keep you posted on whether the problem is resolved.

If everything else fails you could file a bug report with the URL of that web page :
