wow browser
using mac 10.10. I want to support Mozilla rather than Apple products. trying again and again to devirus, uninstall, reinstall but Firefox keeps launching with a search page called Wow. (It has a peach-like logo). searches say it's a browser hijack, like Yahoo and Anysearch, that appear in browsers to misguide searches.
What is up? Thanks. Do I have to run antivirus after each attempt to use Firefox? Or is this Firefox's own browser? If I have been battling a benign thing don't flame me.

Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.
