I've been using Firefox since 2008 but update 56 and up.... I can't explain the disappointment that is induced by the browser without using some censored words (sorry).

A youtube page for example is loaded for approximately 20 seconds and every time i se under the player an HTML script not responding massage. Some pages don't load properly at all... example: https://ibb.co/d9pdJd Yesterday the browser crashes from nothing while i was writing an email.

I uninstalled it, cleaned any leftover files... Reinstalled it and this happened:

How should look this page - https://ibb.co/kLfcdd

What firefox loaded - https://ibb.co/nBhery

Also i liked that the older version (v52) didnt consumed alot of ram but now... Oh man if you open more than 3 tabs say good bye to 3 gb ram.

I doubt that i'm the only one with those problems... And im sick of scrolling over the internet in search of fix, patch or at least reason. What a shame... Just un f**king believable devs...

Unfortunately I'm forced to find a better and more stable browser.

This become a user installed problem. What you had to do was complete uninstall all FF previously and delete Mozilla folder and do a clean instal off FF57+ this is the best know solution to resolved those upgrade from FF56.

I did that (even deleted the leftover registry keys)! Than i installed the newest FF61.0.1. The problem still remain... I tried even older versions FF52 and FF54... They work flawlessly (in terms of stability). Can't understand why. It's not a driver problem but its software related for sure. I have a suspicion for non compatible scripts with win 10...

HI, it is possibly your Kaspersky Protection as there are times Mcafee does stick a finger into things along with these : There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

So with that : Try Firefox Safe Mode to TEST & see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

SafeMode-Fx35

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

After installing FF I manually add the kaspersky certificate. Kaspersky have the affinity to sniff around so the only thing i leave active for the browser is the data collection blocker and nothing else.

Also tried the Firefox Safe Mode... no diference in performance or stability.

Have you completely turn Kaspersky off and tried ?

Hi, under 2 gigs of ram is good or 2. If you do not use ram it is wasted.

To be Checked and turned off unless needed for accessibility : Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Multi-Processor Support : Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please. Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.

Only Disable as last resort.

Multi-processor Can completely disable it this way in about:config : dom.ipc.processCount set to 1 browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

Only move to esr if low ram and old system.

Firefox Extended Release Version : Firefox ESR does not come with the latest features but it has the latest security and stability fixes.

If do please :

MICROSOFT VIRTUAL MEMORY

You may want to try this: Open the System Folder then Click on left side Advanced System Settings which opens System Properties click the Advanced Tab then click Performance button Settings then the Advanced Tab then Click the Change under Virtual Memory click Custom Size and Change Size to where it says Recommended Size then Click Set and then Click Apply then please Re-boot.

System - -> Advanced System Settings --> System Properties - -> Advanced Tab - -> Change Virtual Memory - -> Custom Size - -> ENTER Recommended MAX Size in both MIN and MAX boxes - -> Set - -> Apply-- > Reboot

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
