Does this happen:

1) every time i.e. you have to enter the Master password twice every single time you open Firefox

2) or did it just happen once?

Assuming 1) I would try Firefox Safe Mode : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode or Firefox Refresh: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

Does this also happen if you try to access the passwords in the Password Manager?

Note that it is possible that Firefox displays two MP dialog windows on top of each other. To test this you can drag the top most window slightly to see if there are other windows hidden below. If that is the case then you can enter the master password in the first window and close the second window with ESC.

Thank you for the feed back and advice. It was doing this every time I was asked for the MP. The Firefox refresh worked although a warning that I would lose all the browser addons would have been very helpful . . .

Sorry cor-el I had done the refresh before your post came through. It would have been intriguing to know.

Now I have done this, will the addons sync from my desktop to the laptop which is still showing the old addons or will the laptop sync to the desktop ? M
