Firefox crashes
Firefox crashes repeatedly, couple of times a day. Running Ubuntu 16.04 Resetting firefox doesn't help.

I run Ubuntu's Canonical builds and Mozilla builds of Firefox in Ubuntu 16.04 64bit without issues. Not surprising as Firefox is the default built in browser for the standard Ubuntu distros.
Some of your crash signatures are relating to memory or memory clearing issues. Ubuntu usually come with a memtest utility . If you multi boot you may have it as a Grub option. If you do not see the grub menu: after a reboot try tapping the shift key (or almost any other key) alternatively use your install media to run memtest.

Hello there,
Clearing your browsers cookies and cache can help remove excess data that could be causing Firefox to crash.
You can try and clear the cache/cookies by doing the following:
1. Click the menu button and choose “History” 2. Then click “Clear Recent History” 3. Clear everything and tick all the boxes before clicking on “Clear Now”
Finally, relaunch your browser and see if the issue still persists.
If the above doesn't work then i would suggest a clean reinstall of Firefox

So, over the past few weeks I reset Firefox, cleared cache, ran in safe mode, created a new profile and did a clean reinstall, to no avail. I am starting to suspect the issue is in some library Firefox depends on.
Are there any other things I can try to nail this one?
could you run a scan with a tool like from memtest.org in order to check the integrity of your RAM?

Shoot, it's raining errors in memtest! Looks like my memory went tits up in the last year or so. I know shit happens, but over the past 25 years I have never seen memory failing. Let's see if Crucial still believes in service...

It took about two weeks for Crucial to send replacement memory, but it looks like this problem is solved now. Firefox hasn't crashed in days. Thanks for all who helped me to sort this out!
