How can I force Firefox to always show the desktop version of a webpage

I am using a Surface 4 Pro with Firefox 48.

Some webpages are directing me automatically to their mobile site. I would like to use always the dektop version of the webpage.

For example the page of the german tv: www.rtl.de Or the swiss road traffic office: http://www.stva.zh.ch/

I tried useragent overrider and user agent switcher, but there in no change.

I there a way to always force desktop view?
