Clicking Gmail Pop-up Desktop Notifications Do Not Show Mail Content Window on Top

When I click on the Gmail pop-up notifications, the window that shows the mail content is opened behind the FIrefox main window. In my opinion, clicking the pop-up show take me directly to the mail content, showing it on top of anything else. Is this an issue with certain configuration on my computer or something that needs to be addressed in the next release?
