For long time keep saying looks like your using an older version of Firefox. Numerous times I have tried to install Adobe Flash plug in, both with Firefox and at Adobe site. I am on Linux 32 bit, not 64, all details I find are for 64 bit. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/759565 I think the problem may lie here but I do not see the solution for 32 bit. Looks like maybe 2 plug ins? Anyway I need help. It's problematic with all the extra steps with the issue as you can imagine. I tried starting from scratch with Firefox, does not work, seems more like 52 card pick up....if you know that game. I'd like a solution if you have one. Thanks.

I got the problem resolved. Thank you for your assistance. I had to get help from an engineer I know. He did it pretty fast, but looked like he deleted the old and installed the new and it looked like maybe the launch may have been the issue? Not exactly sure, it's almost like the launch was set for older version....but don't want to send anybody on the wrong path cause I do not know, but he installed lastest to firefox 38.1 or whatever...from 29. SOLVED. Thank you for taking the time to help. That was frustrating issue.

OK the first link did not work for me. YUM? I kept getting errors when I followed the commands. Gave up real quick on those instructions. i went to Home, Deleted the Firefox, went to Mozilla home page for the official (the part where it keeps saying looks like your using the old version of Firefox) saved it, opened it, extracted it (pretty sure it said 29) again Im Linux mint. Restarted and same problem.

The problem I am having is I keep trying and having to wipe out everything I have saved from toolbar to screenshot to starting over. Surely i can get some help, that Chrome is not the answer. Please advise. This seems problematic like it's a compatability issue and they want people to give up and roll over to Chrome.

If you need to update Flash then you can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page:

OK I thought I would have got this problem resolved as well after getting latest version of Firefox, but when i went to update to the latest version of Flash right off of Adobe's website for the latest version (saved, opened, extracted, etc) I thought it was resolved. I then noticed from some sites the warning up top would come on that said the plug in was blocked as it was the older version - (vulnerable). So this issue is not resolved despite downloading the latest version.

  • I have also noticed that they come out with a series up updates over time, and it appears a conflict with Firefox as it relates to compatibility. Seems suspicious, but moreso it's a royal pain.

Would be nice if Firefox / Mozilla came out with something to ACE out Adobe. But that's just a suggestion to resolve these issues. Maybe team up with the Free Software Foundation? I guarantee you I am not the only one experiencing these issues.

Some websites have dropped support for older branches of the Flash Player from Adobe including the 11.2.202.x esr branch for Linux.

Besides use of html5, Mozilla has been working on Shumway www.areweflashyet.com
