Firefox hangs every time I try to clear cookies.

Started having issues with getting into games, both on Facebook and other sites, starting yesterday. Have been trouble shooting everything, even my Mac IOS with Apple. (Have no trouble with Safari getting to any website.) So I updated to the latest Firefox, tried to refresh Firefox and have still not been able to clear cookies from history. It hangs and I must then force quit Firefox. In the meantime, I can't get to any of my games on Firefox. (The hanging when I try to clear cookies has happened for months.)

Here try this add-on you might be trying to erase cookies that are currently in use by a tab open.

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.

  • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
