When I Sign Out of my Hotmail account my webpage is directed to this link...

Normally when I Sign Out of Hotmail I am directed back to my Homepage of google.com..

This has only started happening this week?

Any clues as to why this has started happening and what I can do to fix it??

I have the same problem. It started with me a few days ago. Someone else has also posted about the same issue. It may be a script redirection error. The only way I found to get rid of the page showing the url and 2 flags, one Australian and the other US with the text ' Are you looking for your local MSN? etc ...is too press the ESC key. The redirection by default after you log out of Hotmail will then take you to your local MSN page.

Ok great. Yes, I found the other person's Mozilla Support "thread" for the same issue and noticed they have notified MSN or Microsoft?

Hopefully it will get fixed!

Thanks

Gina11, see my last post to the other thread you found by Jazzie5. There is a workaround for the problem using a redirection extension. With the redirection extension for your particular browser, you can specify any page you want to be redirected to. I use Google Chrome mainly so I added the Google Chrome store extension and followed the directions. You can specify any page you want to be redirected to including Google homepage. Will post link here as well. It's from Microsoft Community forum for Outlook. Answer was provided by Moi-MA, posted June 12, 2014 further down the page......http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/oaccount-omyinfo/how-do-i-prevent-the-outlook-logout-from/0e491165-c746-43aa-91c7-6ce8a7151d9e?page=2 Hope it helps.

Thanks very much Irene1 ... I added the Redirector Add-On for Firefox ...

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirector/

I then followed the instructions as per your above link to the Microsoft Community Form for Outlook ....

Very much appreciated... wherever you are in the world ... you deserve some chocolate
