I use Firefox version 134.0.1 on a Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.3 OS. For a few weeks now, a semi-transparent address bar has been displayed in the top left corner of web apps that I have created. I have attached an example image. Is there a way to hide this bar in the web apps? I find it extremely annoying.

I have turned off the junk mail/spam settings, both globally and for each account. I have rebooted several times. Each time, while the settings all say junk screening is turned off, each account has junk mail moved to the junk folder after IMAP sync. I run my own mail server. It is not doing this, Thunderbird is. Does anyone have any idea how to get the program to follow what I actually want? Why have the settings if they don't actually do anything? Getting very frustrated here.

Up until a couple of days ago things were working ok. Now I get an error message that is attached here as an image. When I try to receive messages it says my folder is up to date but on the server direct with Spectrum I have 50-60 new messages.

mail.brighthouse.com port 993 for receive

mail.brighthouse.com port 587 for sending

I checked with Spectrum and the above are the correct servers and settings. Any idea what I inadvertently changed or am overlooking?

The Thunderbird action now taken when the X on the upper right mini menu (Minimize, Maximize,Close) treats the "Close" option as a "move to run in background and do not add an indication to the taskbar". Every other Windows program treats this CLOSE as a QUIT/EXIT. Somewhere along the way T-Bird changed its standard action away from the QUIT/EXIT.

This is very irritating to me as I run a desktop and a laptop accessing the same set of post offices using TB on each. I will "X" out of TB on my desktop and activate my laptop later only to discover the laptop has no new email since the desktop TB was downloading email in its hidden state.
Please add an option so I can use the "X" as a QUIT for TB - the current 3 button quit is very awkward as well as unnatural. I really don't want to set the "Check for new messages" option off and remember to periodically poll for new messages !!! PLEASE

I using TB 128.6 on a Macbook running Sequoia 15.1.1. Occasionally, I also use an Iphone to compose emails. When I compose an email on my Iphone, it saves it in one of the Drafts folders. When I compose an email on my Macbook, it saves it in the other Drafts folder. I am using a gmail account. Is there a way to change this so they both save to a single Drafts folder?

See screenshot attached for picture of the two folders.

Thanks for your help.

While using Linux I noticed that I Walmart's Captcha would display correctly. I cleared recent history and cookies and it still occurred. The problem was Cache. I cleared the cache but it did not work. I had to manually remove the cache located in /home/directory/.cache/mozilla/firefox. I eve closed FF and reopened but still the same.

How can I completely clear the cache in firefox? Shouldn't FF completely clear cache after be closed ?

ver: 134.0.1 Windows 10 Pro I have Firefox set to open filetype PDF in Browser. Normally I use IDM which automatically download PDFs, unless I press ALT key while clicking DOWNLOAD button, then it does not, in order to allow Firefox to handle the PDF.

Firefox presently does nothing. With filetype setting set to Open in Browser, Firefox Does nothing. If settings are set to Ask, it does not ask. The PDF filename appears at bottom of screen momentarily.

ver: 115.19.0esr Windows 7 Utl 7601 The exact same behaviour was also seen on a Windows 7 system running Firefox 115.19.0esr. PDF is also set there to "Open in Firefox". Again, when ALT pressed when clicking Download button, Firefox does nothing.

When I am on Facebook and I am viewing photos and I attempt to enlarge them for better viewing all i get is a black screen. I was not having this problem before. If I change browsers to Google Chrome or MSN I do not have this issue. I prefer to use Firefox as my default browser, I have not changed any settings that would affect this so I am not sure why this is happening only on Firefox!. Please assist. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I use my providers web email promail.ptd.net , but they don't have where I can add a sound to incoming email or specific ones.. I did add the promail to your notifications, settings, but can you explain to me what the step would be to get their incoming email to make a sound of choice while using Firefox? or do i have to switch to an email program that already has that option? I wish Eudora would continue!

I using TB 128.6 on a Macbook running Sequoia 15.1.1. I am trying to set the default to 'unthreaded' for new folders that I create using the steps here: https://www.badpenguin.org/thunderbirds-default-sort/

Using the config editor, I set mailnews.default_view_flags to "0" (unthreaded). (See 1st screenshot.) after doing so, I quit TB and restarted it. However, when I created a new folder, it is still set to threaded.

(Still proud of myself for figuring out how to use the config editor, which I never did before! :-)

Anyone have a tip for how to effect this change for new folders? Thanks for your help.
