Hello Firefox community,

I’m currently working on a project where I need to programmatically configure the FoxyProxy extension in Firefox every time I launch the browser. My goal is to dynamically set proxy configurations (e.g., IP, port, username, and password) before or during the browser startup.

I’ve explored several approaches, but I’ve run into challenges with each method

Does anyone know of a more effective way to achieve this? Any guidance on modifying FoxyProxy settings on launch or programmatically managing Firefox extensions in general would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your help!

I installed firefox v130 from the tar.gz file to /opt. I use the latest enlightenment desktop on debian trixie. Firefox works great, I have no problems with it's functionality.

Unfortunately, I don't like the fact that it uses it's own window manager. When I install firefox from the debian repos (firefox-esr/testing,now 115.15.0esr-1) it uses the default window manager (enlightenment in this case). How can I get firefox to use the desktop window manager?

TIA

What can I do? This is the 3rd update corruption within the last 6 weeks - last time I was told to remove Firefox and install from new so lost at least 6 years history.

My pinned tabs are showing on the "List all tabs" again.

I previously had this issue and it was resolved by community support by this suggestion.

"You can set browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled = false on the about:config page to revert the "List all tabs" button to its previous behavior."

I went through these steps again, but the setting is still set to "false" so there must be a different problem?

Please advise how this can be corrected.

I did notice the NEW ICON used on the tabs bar for the "List all tabs." Perhaps this update change caused the issue?

These pinned tabs are extremely helpful in managing my business platforms. I accidentally closed some because I did not realize I was closing my pinned tabs. I wish we had 2 rows for pinned tabs:)

Thanks for your assistance!

In my settings menu "tab preview" is unchecked but it still appears. I headed off to 'about:config' and set browser.tabs.tooltipPreview to false but to no revail. Is there any way I can disable this grey preview tab in firefox as I do not need it ? I have this in windows 10&11 both the same issue.

When FF is open and then I open TB, several new windows are created in FF. My default FF window disappears and is not present in the windows history. When I reset my computer, sometimes my default FF window reappears. When I do something in FF, TB immediately closes.

At first I suspected TB and put a question in the TB forum. I downgraded TB from 128.2.3 to 115.10.1 after disabling automatic updates of TB. Initially the problem seemed solved, but not so.

I am surprised the FF and TB seem to influence one another.

Working with FF 130.0.1.

I just updated to version 131.0 and now my menu buttons in the top left no longer work. When I say Menu buttons I'm referring to the Menu Bar which includes File,Edit,View,History,Bookmarks,Tools,Help. All the buttons are dead and if I hover my cursor over "File" it says "List all tabs". If you look real close at attached screen shot you can see that there is a little square sitting over the word "File".

Thank you

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to install Firefox Developer Edition on my Debian system using apt. Most tutorials I’ve found only cover installing the regular version of Firefox, and I want to ensure I’m getting the Developer Edition specifically.

Could anyone provide guidance on how to install Firefox Developer Edition via the command line using apt? Is there a specific repository I need to add, or any additional steps I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for your help!
