How do I get drop-down menus folders to open to the side instead of over the top of the current menu?

With the previous version of Firefox, when I selected drop-down menu folders, the folder view would appear to the side of the drop-down menu, but now it opens directly over the top of the drop-down menu, which makes it tough to browse other folders efficiently. I feel like I should've been able to fix this on my own, but I'm not seeing the option for something like "tiling".
