Have downloaded & installed V6, About firefox in help tells me V6 but opening firefox screen tells me I need to update to the latest version ?

The opening firefox screen still looks like the older version as if it has not been updated. Have been updating regularly so the previous version I assume is the 5.0. Am using windows XP home with the upgrades. My lap top (running XP prof) downloaded successfully and shows a different opening screen so I assume version 6 has not loaded on this computer.

To find out what version of Firefox you are running:

1. Go to: Firefox > Help (the menu not the button) > About Firefox

2. It should say right under the 'Firefox' header what version you are running

Thanks for responding. Help - about firefox tells me it is version 6 but the opening screen is still telling me I need to upgrade as I am not running the latest version. It doesn't look like the the V6 running on my laptop. I have tried to re run the download for version 6 but still get as above telling me that I need to upgrade to the latest version.
