is a FF prompt the only way to store a password?

I said "no" by mistake to FF's prompt to save my password and login for a particular site, and I'd like to reverse this and save my password for the site. The FF help article on this topic says to go into Preferences and delete the site from the list of exceptions to the prompt, but there are no sites listed there.

Is there a way to store my login for this site without being prompted? like, to just add the site to the list of saved passwords? Or to get FF to ask me to save it the next time I log in?

Thanks for your help.
