Missing data on websites
Hello - I keep searching for various fixes to this, but nothing seems to work. I have the latest version of firefox. Macbook user. Catalina 10.15 I find that with almost any website that I'm trying to log into, or enter a credit card and other information, the browser does not show these items, pull downs, forms to fill in etc. I'll go thru a whole process of something, and will be directed to click a box or some such that just isnt there. So I move over to Safari, and the entire page loads. I've adjusted the privacy, cleared cache etc. It's like I'm on an ancient browser.
Any help welcome.

Thanks. Is there a way to do a blanket disable tracking? I can only find how to do it per site.
You can check the connection settings.
- Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":

Change Tracking Protection to Custom and untick all the items.
Thank you. I was hoping this was the fix. It is so odd there are still some sites that, for example if I check "pay with credit card," the boxes to actually fill in said credit card, do not show up. I've tried custom, standard, restarting etc. Anyway, than you for the help!
Does it still happen in a new profile without signing into Sync? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
Make sure you haven't enabled High Contrast mode in the OS settings.
Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors as this affects background images.
- Settings -> General -> Language and Appearance -> Colors -> Manage Colors
"Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above"
Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.
Honestly, this is just so bizarre. I tried all the things. Nothing worked. Then I installed the Developer Edition. Boom, all the sites were working. Then, I tried to sync my bookmarks from the previous Firefox...and now the Developer Edition is blocking images and forms again. So...I unsynced, trashed the app and tried again. Developer Edition is still missing the information. Now I'm just confused. Oh well. Thanks for trying to help, all.
What data did you Sync as syncing bookmarks shouldn't be a problem, syncing extensions and settings can ?
You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Well...I was using with out syncing or signing in. Now I seem to have lost years of bookmarks and history. I give up.
