Windows doesn't recognize android

My windows 7 doesn't recognize my alcatel one touch fire. The image below is how the device appears in the device manager when connected via USB. I have storage mode on. I have searched for drivers but nothing I downloaded from alcatel works, doesn't even start or is recognized by windows at all. Before this, I used to trust firefox alot, but I don't anymore. I can't download pictures and videos of my child, moments that I am afraid I'm gonna lose at any given time. This is shameful.

My device hardware IDs are UMB\VEN_0125&DEV_0002&REV_0001 / UMB\VEN_0125&DEV_0002

Please let me know which drivers I should download to make this piece of junk phone work, and where from. Thank you. I can't make headway from the alcatel site, and I don't know where else to look.

does the qualcomm driver from http://www.alcatelonetouch.com/global-en/support/faq/usbdriver.html work?

I downloaded qualcomm drivers here but they can't be installed in my computer.
