Hi there, Firefox on Android is unable to show a progress on files that is currently being downloaded. It does, show notification, and I can pause and cancel it from there, but the details are unknown, the progress bar doesn't tell how much bytes has been downloaded and when i press pause and resume, the state is horribly unknown, the progress becomes 0%, etc. What I want is that Downloads menu in three-dots menu must show this too, not only the files that has been downloaded.

When I download a file, a notification pops up when the download is complete. I find this quite annoying, especially when downloading file in a bit of rapid succession.

Is there some way to turn this off on FF mobile?

I tried... about:config > browser.download.alwaysOpenPanel on the nightly build, but after having created the option, it doesn't seem to work.

I would be forever indebted to any suggestions y'all can provide.

So, new phone and FF upgraded, now when I download there is no indication that my file is actually downloading, either on the phone status bar or in FF downloads. Is there somewhere I should be looking to see if a file is "currently" downloading?

Last time I have fillup online form in efrro and after submitting final form and then my form couldn't download automatically or there was not option of download and when I was saving as pdf it was also not working so please improve this problem or otherwise I will leave to use it.

How can the android FF app not have a way of showing progress of downloads? I find this absolutely bizarre, when every other browser does this. It's critical information to have. You have no idea how much has downloaded or how long is left, the downloads window is just blank until it's fully completed downloading an item.

Hi, I like a background/wallpaper from the limited edition wallpapers to cutomize home tab in Firefox android, so is there a way to download it or save it and use it as my phone's background aswell? Thanks.

I can not download anything on my tablad. If I try do download a file (PDF) from my Study programm it opens automatically in the firefox browser. I do not have the option to open the files with a different App (eg. Samsung notes) and if I click on Downloads, it says there are no downlads existing even thou its opend in the browser. 2 months ago it worked fine and and I uninstall the App, put all Settings back to the orgininal and it still does not work. Please help.

How can download any webpage as PDF for offline sharing in new updates. In earlier version I could do it from: tools-save as PDF. But now the save as PDF does not work.

On this link if the options are selected, there are two embedded PDFs in two tabs on same page. The firefox Android app downloader randomly gives the option to download only one of the two. I wish to download both the PDFs. Is there a way to stop the firefox from giving download option, but see the embedded PDFs on the page itself. So that we can download it by clicking on the embedded PDFs.

Currently PDFs open by default within Firefox. Even though it's generating a dialogue asking to open in an external app.

Hi I just noticed that the latest Firefox (version 111) for Android can't download web links pointing to pdf files any more. From the release notes, I find "You can now view PDF documents as you browse, no need to download them and open external applications anymore". This is horrible, in most time, I do want to download pdf files to my device, so I can view/edit them locally later. Plus, when the network is rate limited, the Firefox browser display nothing and seems to be frozen until the pdf file is fully received by Firefox browser which is horrible user experience. While in normal download, at least I can see the download progress and be aware if the download is interrupted or whatnot. Please revert back this "enhancement", or if you want to keep this enhancement because some other people want it, at least please provide an option on the Firefox for Android to disable it (which would be more fair to everyone). Before you fix it, I had to uninstall the latst Firefox and use the old version for the time being. thanks

For years, whenever I downloaded a pdf on my phone (Motorola droid), it opened in the Adobe pdf reader app. But around a month ago it stopped doing that. Instead it opens the pdf in its own url in Firefox. This is very frustrating as I cant do much of anything with the pdf there (especially search it). I've looked all over my phone for ways to change the settings back to the way they were before but I can't find anything. I've tried searching the support site but the only answers involve the browser on PC, not phone. Do you know how to make it so downloading a pdf automatically opens it in the Adobe app? Thanks.

Hello, I tried to save a page as pdf = "pdf not generated". Then I tried again, seemed to work but couldn't open it. Any idea ? NB it is paying newspaper, I am a subscriber.
