Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message. I fixed it 2 days ago thanks to your method and today I find myself in the same situation once more... And I confess I"m fed up. Not the only issue with Firefox (like denied access to many webpages) although I share its values and then I'll be giving up !

I had privacy and security set to clear all sites and cookies upon closing Fire Fox. When I formerly clicked the "Star" on Search in tool bar, with the "Show Editor when Saving" checked I then choose the folder to which I wish to save the Web Page. By unchecking the clear all, I thought I had the problem repaired. No, Today when saving a new page it does not appear in my folder of choice. It does show in "Recently Book Marked", the "gear" symbol. I have refreshed Fire Fox, replaced my settings from the Customize Tool Bar, but still not functioning. How does one reset Fire Fox to save to the folder of choice? I am not aware of what settings I have changed. I can export all to off site, but where does the system keep them, I think it does? I have over 4000 book marks. Is there some limit? Thank, JJE

Since yesterday, I have not been able to add new bookmarks. I want to add two new ones. (I can update or delete bookmarks.) I have read and tried the solution article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-add-change-or-save-bookmarks), but the fix did not work for me. I am using Windows 11 Pro (fully updated) and Firefox 143.0.1 (64-bit). By the way, Brave is my secondary browser. I can add the two new bookmarks in it without problems. Could someone provide a solution other than the one in the article that I have cited? Again, that solution did not work for me. Thank you.

I am having an intermittent problem with bookmarks not loading when I open Firefox.

Is there a fix for this?

I have noticed that a lot of answers on here refer to features that no longer exist in settings.

Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. I am using Windows 10 and Firefox 146.0.1. Thanks, James.

Depuis quelques temps, je n'arrive plus à enregistrer les pages internet dans mes favoris. "L'étoile" réagit au passage de la souris mais ne se colore plus en bleu comme avant.

J'ai toujours accès à ma liste déjà enregistrer, je peux les ouvrir mais je ne peux pas supprimer les marque-pages non plus.

Sous Win 10, j'ai bien vérifier que Firefox était bien à jour.

Mir würde es sehr viel besser gefallen, wenn ein neues Lesezeichen immer automatisch oben im erwählten Lesezeichenordner einsortiert wird. Ist das irgendwo einstellbar?

Bookmark sidebar is visible, but bookmarks are not visible. bookmark icon show but the bookmark name is not.

This occurred after the latest update.

This has now occurred on another computer. Now I have 2 with this problem
