One of the main reasons I use Firefox is the ability to enter the address bar and press "Tab" to go to the next option instead of pressing the down arrow like in some other browsers. The problem I'm encountering is when I want to get to something further down the list, it's all of the sudden tabbing to this little 3 dot menu that has "Remove from history" and "Learn More".

I use this feature a lot to visit past pages for researching, so I'm wondering is this 3 dot menu new? Is there a way to disable it? I've attached a screenshot to hopefully more clearly describe what I'm talking about.

I want to know how to stop URL autocomplete from taking me to a bookmarked we set that happens to have a similar spelling.

For instance, when I type “cat” a list populated with all urls starting with the word “catalog”. I do not want to search for a known url or I would select it from the drop down list. I want to search the word “cat”. I have to enter a blank space to search a single term but this is super annoying when your trying to quickly find content.

How can I adjust this so when I type a word, it will only search that word when I hit enter rather than jump to a saved url.

Video download helper is installed but icon is missing from toolbar and cannot be found where I'm told to look when I google the problem (i.e., view/toolbars/customize). Nor can I drag it to the toolbar from where I find it when I look under triple bar/addons and themes in the upper right corner of the toolbar. Where else should I look to find it?

I make themes for themes for firefox using firefox colors extension. I want to know how to change the text colour, background colour, etc of right click menus ( see image attached.

This problem has just resurfaced. In a nutshell, when I type "Lost IMDb" or "Tyson Wiki" in the URL bar and hit enter, that would take me straight to that page of that site. So "Lost IMDb" and enter would take me here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411008/

Now it takes me to random search results like so: https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=lost+imdb

Similar to "I'm feeling lucky" Google search is what I want back. When FF got rid of "Keyword.URL" search, I had to use an add-on such as: Google Browse by Name search engine to get similar results. Now also that has stopped working lately.

Can anyone help me get that type of search result back please?

Every few days I get a notification that Firefox will be quitting in 120 minutes. However, there is no option to tell Firefox not to do this. I checked my settings and couldn't find anything about this either. My settings also say that my version of Firefox is up to date, so Firefox is not restarting for an update. Is this happening for other people? How do I tell Firefox not to quit without my permission?

As the subject says, certificate exceptions added "permanently" in the Certificate Manager are dumped at various intervals. For example after updating to 113.02, my certificates for a local router and switch were gone. Sometimes the certificate exceptions seem to be removed at random intervals. Can't really nail down what causes this but the "permanent exception" is not honored. I added several certificates a few days ago, now they're gone.

This has been an ongoing PITA for the past year or more. Why does Firefox make this so difficult?

In windows 10 I have disabled ClearType antialiasing. Because of this, Firefox does not make antialiasing of some fonts: Firefox-Google Firefox-Wiki

On the same system, Chrome browser does antialiasing (grayscale): Chrome-google Chrome-wiki

How to force the Firefox to use antialiasing the same way as Chrome?

Example. Let's say I'm using FirefoxTranslations to translate an average-sized article, on Wikipedia, from German into English.

On the top left hand side of the screen, FirefoxTranslations tells me it has downloaded 17'140'835 bytes.

It always seems to be the same amount of bytes. This is downloaded for every single translation.

I thought that, once downloaded, the vocabulary would be stored, locally, on my computer. Permanently.

Doesn't look like it's happening.

What am I doing wrong?

Is there any way to turn off the button "Open video in a new tab" that appears when you hover on an Instagram video? This button is blocking a button from an extension that I want to use.

I see in the blog the roboform extension does not work with Firefox for many users. It errors that it only works in a browser. Why can't Roboform see or associate the connection when Firefox browser is in use. If it is in use, then Roboform should work. Is it a Firefox problem or a roboform problem? Between both of you surely someone can resolve this problem? It seems Roboform has washed their hands of the problem because they reply with a standard enable process that doesn't work for many people. I am on my 2nd new computer and still have the same problem. Again the error states it only works when the browser is in use. If the browser is in use, then what is the problem? thanks for any assistance you can provide.... I like Firefox and Roboform, it would be a blessing to have both working at the same time.
