Trying to get stuff done. It's hard when you start a task in one tab ,switch to another tab to start another task, and when I switch back to the first tab, it hadn't completed the task, it actually paused when I left it. What's the point of multiple tabs, when only one is working at a time? I expect it to continue with the task, while I go elsewhere to complete a different task.

I run normal firefox on linux. Fully up-to-date. Every time I quit the app, it reverts to a version of my profile from a month ago, and loads all the tabs I had open then, and then receives all the tabs that I sent to the device in the interim (~1 month). As I speak, it just caught the 60 or 70 tabs in this window.

I tried changing the name of my profile folder to randomstring.defaultOLD and changed one of the backups to randomstring.default. This didn't change the behavior. I'm still stuck in the loop. I saved my tabs with onetab, because firefox isn't remembering my session anymore. I thought it was something to do with updates, like it only loses its mind upon updates, but that's not true. It thinks it's updating firefox EVERY TIME, because the one time it's loading to 1 month ago it was updating, but I'm 100% sure there are no updates to firefox in my linux. It's just hallucinating.

The articles on restoring from backup are outdated. They say to use an html file. There is no html file. It's just folders for profiles, not html files. HELP!

Using your browser for first time today using two popular websites that are used daily (theglobeandmail.com and theweathernetwork.com) that Malwarebytes deemed these unsafe quoting 192.178.192.132.443 - they are now blocked and don't understand why these websites would have any problems. Firefox becomes noticeably slower after I have been using it for some time. Pages may take longer to load, tabs sometimes become unresponsive for a few seconds, and switching between multiple tabs can feel delayed.

I have already tried restarting Firefox and closing unnecessary tabs, but the issue can return after continued use. I would like to know what could be causing this performance problem and which troubleshooting steps I should try.

Could extensions, cached data, memory usage, or hardware acceleration be responsible? What Firefox settings or diagnostic information should I check to identify the cause?

Unable to load https://fingtrainer.com as of yesterday. Been downloading the flingtrainer for single player games for a long time now and there is no issue. Try to disable/change enhanced tacking, dns, site were included in exceptions and reinstalling firefox does nothing. While the learn more link provide image solutions, none of them does anything and the disable button for the enhanced tracking is not working. Other browser like opera gx is able to load without any issue. Please assist with a solution or kindly revert the settings.

I have used Firefox for years. Have a backup computer that has Windows 10. It defaults to Bing. I hate Bing! VERY much want to use Firefox for Windows 10. Please, if you can, just email me a link to download Firefox that will work on Windows 10. That is all that I need. My two email addresses are: [edited] OR [edited from community support forum]. I have webpage (Home Assistant instance) on my local network on which I would like to use microphone (for Assistant functionality). Page is completely local, i.e. not visible from Internet. My issue is I can't force Firefox to allow microphone access on this page. I've tried messing with media.devices.insecure.enabled config, but it didn't help. Is there any way to add such page to some whitelist to allow microphone access? From what I gathered Chromium-based browser provides "--unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=..." option but I didn't find anything similar for Firefox. I know I could expose my server to outside network and get SSL certificate (from Lets Encrypt) to make it work, but exposing server to Internet just to get local microphone access somehow doesn't feel like a more secure solution. I could probably also issue self-singed certificate but dealing with that also seems at least annoying.

after the new version of firefox update my home page which i have always had Newsmax.com does not load says problem loading page i have tried several times and it will not load. it works in Google chrome so why not in Firefox

My Firefox created a new profile and reset everything. I was able to go back and locate my bookmarks and restore them, but my menu bar is reset, my history and saved passwords etc are all gone.

Yesterday I noticed a horizontal screen tear when scrolling down through sites like X(Twitter), YouTube, GMail, Reddit etc. I immediately checked my performance options and they were deselected. I activated them again, but this did not solve the problem, I also tried to active some layers in about:config but those were already activated. Checked Nvidia settings too, vsync is on, Edge is not affected, Chrome is not affected, even installed Waterfox to see if only Firefox-based browsers are affected, but that one was OK too.

Last resort was to refresh the Firefox installation from the uninstall utility. After the refresh and all settings/extensions got auto-reinstalled, the screen tear got fixed. I left the PC running over night and when I accessed Firefox again this morning, the screen tear problem was back. However, now, the performance options are disabled, and if I try to enable them and restart Firefox, the options get disabled again.

Would really appreciate it if anyone could provide a solution that does not involve refreshing Firefox daily.
