Thanks for all your suggestions, but alas they were to no avail. Am using firefox 5, tried all the solutions, still not working. Don't have this problem in win explorer, chrome, Avant browser,still baffled.

Thanks for your help. I set everything to default, then enabled everything I was using, and now it's working fine.
