as above ie browser is open i go to say utube. music is playing fine over speakers. i plug in headphones, sound stops for speakers and does not come from headphones either. unplug head phones speakers now have no sound. solution: reboot browser speakers work. if you want head phones you have to plug them in before you boot browser. QUESTION: why do i have to reboot browser each time for it to switch the sound from one device to the other ?

also seems to be a similar issue with windows media player but that just requires you press play again on the music you want. not sure of the two issues are linked.
