DuckDuckGo found a Tracker?

Hello, I apologise if this information is already available somewhere, but I just couldn't find it.

I recently installed the DuckDuckGo app on Android 12 (Samsung One UI 4.1) which has a feature that blocks trackers from other apps.

While using Firefox it seems to have found and blocked a tracker simply called "Adjust" (this is where usually a brand name to whom the tracker belongs would be, e.g. google or amazon). It asks for: Device model, OS compilation number, type of connection, screen pixel density, country, OS version, unique ID, app name, CPU name, cookies, device language, post code, device make/brand, app version, e-mail address, android advertisement ID.

I don't really know what to think about all this, but I wouldn't expect firefox to track me in any way, I've trusted mozilla so far, and am inclined to continue to do so, but I'm confused by this and don't know what to make of it. The DuckDuckGo app doesn't really offer more information, and I might try asking them as well, idk. Googling didn't really help me, so I'll be thankful for any answer.

Hi, our Privacy Policy explains that we're using Adjust as our analytics vendor.

Firefox for iOS and Android by default send mobile campaign data to Adjust, our analytics vendor, which has its own privacy policy. Mobile campaign data includes a Google advertising ID or Android ID, IP address, timestamp, country, language/locale, operating system, and app version.

Why do we use it? Because we need to know the impact of our marketing campaigns and we can't build such tool internally.

Please remember that you can turn it off in the Data collection section of Settings.

I have since changed that setting, but now duckduckgo blocked trackers from google, facebook, comscore, microsoft, functionalsoftware and datadog.

I also have ublock origin, privacy badger, decentraleyes and privacy possum installed as extensions in the firefox app.

So my next question kind of splits into two: Are those trackers from the app itself, or from the content browsed with the app (the websites)? And if they are from the content, shouldn't they have been blocked by my extensions instead and never reached duckduckgo's app?...

I apologize if the question isn't centric to firefox, but I don't know where else to ask. Thank you again for the answer. Dziękuję.

Trackers will be in the content of some webpages, but this sounds more like a question for the DuckDuckGo support team who will be better placed to help you with their app.
