What in the world did they do with the new update??

All my accounts & folders that use to fit in about 80% of the full height of my folder pane now takes up 120% or more. That means I'm constantly scrolling up/down to get from my first email account to the storage folders near the bottom!!

((My screen res is 1920x1200 and I use Thunderbird at full screen height, and about 1/3 of the width.))

WHY did this get changed??? and

HOW do I get the old spacing back???

Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, create a new folder named chrome, create a new document in chrome with a text editor, name it userChrome.css, Save as type: All files *.*, copy in the above code, change the numbers as desired. Double-click toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true in Options/General/Config. editor, restart TB.

When you Open Folder, the profile folder opens in File Explorer. The chrome folder must be created as a subfolder of the profile folder.

Been there, done that.

--> Unless you want to suggest another place to save the code besides [O/S Drive] Program Files (x86)Thunderbird/chrome/userChrome.css I'm taking that from other threads I've read near this topic.

However, the thread you referenced does not explicitly say this is the path/file so it could be wrong. If it is, I have no clue where to put that code.

Yes, I missed that post. Thank you for pointing it out. Problem solved! Thank You! I still need to modify the parameters to fit my needs but that definitely does the trick!

Note: When I opened the profile folder it was Thunderbird/Profiles/[looks like a random generated].default Creating the new chrome folder here was what needed to be done. When I tried creating it in the Thunderbird/Profiles folder it didn't work.

Also, the issue with the disappearing list entries is fixed as well on 78.4.3 (32-bit).
