The Delete button (I've just begun using Thunderbird for Android) sends email to Delete-land: gone for good. There is no way to reprogram it to send to Trash. One can, alternatively, hide it on the main screen by setting swipes left and right to None. But it is still there in the Read screen....and potentially dangerous. If you try to set a swipe to Trash rather than Delete, there is no Trash option. So you have to set it to Move and choose Trash each time. This reduces the utility of Tbird Android and means you have to be extra-careful when reading emails.

Also, no way to reduce image sizes (by percentage) when attaching large picture files...unless you reduce them in advance in an image processing program.

Hello, i work for a Company that recently switched our eMail hosting to BoxMail and this company doesn't have an Android App.

After trying different eMail Client App i selected Thunderbird, BUT THERE IS ONE ISSUE

My BoxMail inbox is divided in a series of Sub-Inboxes where the eMails from Workers of the Company get automatically sorted into.

Thunderbird recognizes and lists these inboxes, in fact it lists them under the inbox

BUT IT DOESN'T INDICATE ME WHERE THE EMAILS HAVE GONE TO to be specific, i get notified when an eMail arrives, and it says in the little Bubble that i have... 36 eMails

But then, in my inbox i have only 7, yet all the SubInboxes still Display ZERO.

I have to enter each Sub-Inbox, and Refresh the Page to show me if there are new messages, and only after i do that, it will display how many unread eMails i have in that Sub-Inbox.

This is overly frustrating and time consuming, because every time i receive an eMail and get notified about it, i have to manually enter each of the 30 Sub-Inboxes i have and Refresh it hoping to find the new eMail Received.

Is there a way to set the Sub-inboxes to Auto-Refresh the eMails within every 10~15 minutes?

Because as it stands, i am losing too much time every day and eventually this will cause an issue that will force me to seek for a different App, and i truly like Thunderbird.

Thank you for your time is helping me solve this matter HAVE A GREAT DAY

Both screen shots below are from the same phone, same TB version, same account, etc. They were taken only a few minutes apart during the same, ongoing, TB session. This is TB 13 off Play Store (not beta).

Quite frankly, I dislike the hierarchical (which I see ONLY on my 2 gmail accounts - not in either Outlook or Yahoo - thankfully) and would much prefer the non-hierarchical all the time as it is consistent across accounts and takes less effort to get at folders like Sent and Trash - which are hidden/buried in hierarchical views.

What I don't understand is why/how the same gmail account shows folders in both hierarchical and non-hierarchical. It was my impression that hierarchical was introduced as an "improvement" at some point between K9 and now. Is this a bug? Am I doing something to make this happen? If so, how can I do it again to make it non-hierarchical all the time :-)

Thanks!

I am in my inbox. At the bottom of the screen is "load up to x more".

Okay that's nice but now I regret having done that. How can I simply get back to the previous state of not having that many messages in the list?

No I don't want to actually delete any messages on the IMAP server.

K9-mail User since 2010 Just had to reinstall to fix broken: empty folders. Now I have a bell icon in top margin (notification area) , who's sole purpose is to tell me mail client has a 'push' connection established the the server. I didn't need this bell to tell me that for the last 15 years, and don't want it now. I DO need PUSH, but don't want to see a bell telling me it's on. How to get rid of it? thank you

Every time I open a message I'm presented with the 'Show remote images' button which I have to click on to see the images in the email. I understand this is a security issue, but like the desktop version, I thought there might be an option to 'allow remote content' from the origin that would be remembered for all future correspondence. Is there a way to eliminate the need to always click on 'Show remote images'?
