I cannot sign in. I see a box showing Mozilla Thunderbird below above it says Micros I see my Micros account. I have 10 password I haven't used any them that I remember. If I try too many times I am blocked. I was able to see what I would have to to get a QR code but not anymore. When I tried to get code last a few days ago There were black vertical lines moving from left to right so I could not take picture using my S23. I did some search and it I have to change some setting on my S23. I have new version of Thunderbird on my S23. No password since I have not been able to take QR image. This is not working for a week now. No emails to my S23 account. Please help me.

Hi!

I installed the Thunderbird app via Play Store a while ago. I have the F-Droid app on my phone, too. I now got a notification from F-Droid offering me an update for Thunderbird. I'm far from a pro. I would have expected an app installed via Play store to only be connected to and updated via Play Store. Is this all safe and okay? There is no Thunderbird update available in Google Play.

Thank you for your help, please let me know if you need any phone specs or version numbers!

The Delete button (I've just begun using Thunderbird for Android) sends email to Delete-land: gone for good. There is no way to reprogram it to send to Trash. One can, alternatively, hide it on the main screen by setting swipes left and right to None. But it is still there in the Read screen....and potentially dangerous. If you try to set a swipe to Trash rather than Delete, there is no Trash option. So you have to set it to Move and choose Trash each time. This reduces the utility of Tbird Android and means you have to be extra-careful when reading emails.

Also, no way to reduce image sizes (by percentage) when attaching large picture files...unless you reduce them in advance in an image processing program.

Dear Thunderbird Development Team

I'm a regular Thunderbird user. I'd like to provide feedback regarding security concerns regarding the UI specifications of the Android version of Thunderbird.

Currently, Thunderbird for Android displays the sender's "display name only" on the email list screen, making the sender's actual email address invisible at all times.

I feel this specification increases the following risks, particularly in smartphone environments:

- Anyone can freely forge display names. - Phishing scams posing as financial institutions, e-commerce sites, and official support are common. - Users often rely on the list screen or notifications to determine the content of emails.

As a result, a UI that makes it difficult to determine whether an email is from a legitimate sender at the list screen level can become a breeding ground for phishing scams.

The PC version of Thunderbird allows for detailed header display, etc., and I'm disappointed that the mobile version of Thunderbird, despite being the same Thunderbird, is at a disadvantage in terms of security.

I would appreciate it if you could consider the following improvements.

- Setting to always display "display name + email address" on the email list screen

Hi,

After the installation of thunderbird in android all went well.

Then i try to sync all folders , 300, from my google account.

It seem is not like windows/linux, where you use the right button on the account and the process move on.

In android looks i can achive this, but doing one folder at time.

Is there any way to do this at once ?

Hello,

I have read this one https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/openpgp-thunderbird-android-howto and I was aiming for additional detailed info on a specific step in the "Select an encryption key or create a new key" section.

From Thunderbird Desktop I can already send/receive encrypted emails from a specific email account and I have exported, on my laptop, my private and public keys as well as the public keys of some contacts.

On my Android phone I have Thunderbird for Android (version 14) already set up for the same email account and, in order to start using email encryption, I understood from the above link that I first need to install OpenKeychain and then, from the image in step 2 of "Select an encryption key or create a new key" and from the text of the subsequent step 3, that I'll need to choose "I already have a key. Import end-to-end key from other device" and then, if I got it right, try to find the keys which I exported on my laptop from Thunderbird Desktop.

Are there any precise details on how to find those exported keys and load them into OpenKeychain? Meaning, for instance, do I need to copy/paste the keys from my laptop into the archive of my Android phone and then direct Thunderbird/OpenKeychain to that location to pick them up?

Any type of details/links/docs/videos with respect to this, will be useful. As well as any explanations in case I understood wrongly and what I am trying to do is not the proper way to proceed.

Please note: I am not an expert.

Thank you

Best Regards
