Firefox is a great Android browser but the desktop mode is unreliable and needs urgent improvement. Unlke other browsers, Firefox often forgets my desktop mode preference for sites. l enable it, but when I close and reopen the browser, it frequently reverts to mobile view. This inconsistent behavior disrupts my workflow. A consistent desktop mode is crucial; please prioritize fixing this.

For instance, I frequently use Google Sheets in desktop mode on Firefox for Android, as it provides a much better user experience. I have bookmarked the Google Sheets URL for easy access. However, every time I completely close the Firefox browser and then reopen Firefox and revisit the bookmarked Google Sheets page, the desktop mode setting is automatically disabled. I then have to manually re-enable desktop mode. Even after doing so, simply refreshing the page does not restore the previous working state. I must open the link in a new tab and re-enable desktop mode to get it to function correctly again. This issue consistently repeats every time I close and reopen the browser. It's important to note that this problem is unique to Mozilla Firefox on Android; it does not occur in other browsers like Chrome or Samsung Internet. My 8.4 inch android Allocube Iplay 50 tablet cannot get desktop view. The mobile view is a non starter. My old Kindle has a great tabbed setup, as does my Firefox Windows which I've used for over 10 years. All my research on this indicates it should be available, but I can't make it happen. Is there a solution? Thanks

Steps to reproduce: - Open Firefox on Android tablet. - Open some link on youtube, for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Od6jdlgso - By default, link becomes mobile link, something like https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Od6jdlgso - Click dots menu. - Switch `Desktop site`. - Link becomes normal desktop youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Od6jdlgso - Switch to other application, Firefox should be opened in background. - Wait for some time. - Switch back to Firefox, which is in apps in memory list.

Expected result: Switch `Desktop site` is switched on, and youtube link is desktop link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Od6jdlgso

Actual result: Switch `Desktop site` is switched on, but youtube link is mobile link, like https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Od6jdlgso , and switch `Desktop site` doesn't work until you remove Firefox from memory and reopen it.

Здравствуйте,у меня в вашем мобильном браузере firefox есть один надоедливый баг,когда включаешь режима вида для пк,и выходишь из браузера в другое приложение,то режим вида для пк ломается,и при обратном заходе в firefox вид для пк отключается,при этом сам тумблер вида для пк,показывает что он включен,и что бы исправить этот баг постоянно приходится полностью закрывать браузер,и заходить в него обратно.телефон Poco F5, android 14, hyper os 1,новейшая версия мобильного firefox.Прошу исправьте этот баг-глюк

I was literally overjoyed when I discovered the use desktop view as default setting under the site permissions settings in 133.0 when I installed it on my Android phone (not tablet). I enabled it, and it worked exactly as expected—fantastic!

Unfortunately, the next day it was gone again, and the browser's behavior is as if I never enabled this setting. Please, where did it go, and how do I get it back? Failing that, is there a configuration variable that can be set manually to achieve the same behavior?
