I am using Firefox nightly on Android. About two weeks ago I noticed that my toolbar got moved to the bottom after some update, while address bar is still at the top. I tried looking for it in settings but couldn't find anything about toolbar, that's weird since I was able to customize it a few years ago when I installed Firefox for the first time. So I looked it up on the internet and they say that it's in Settings/Customize/Toolbar, but in my browser settings instead of Toolbar there is Address bar settings. Has toolbar's settings been moved somewhere else? It looks like in previous versions it was under Customize section.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. Thanks Mike

Since the upgrade several days ago, I have not been able to select my saved password on some pages, instead I always see "Use strong password" to create a new one. I have not changed my password or anything, and can still see my account information in the saved passwords setting. How can I recover the way to input my password?

Apparently, if there are input boxes for both a username and a password on the page, my account is automatically set as before. Meanwhile, if there is only a password box, Firefox does not allow me to select my saved password.

It appears there are a number of similar issues on this forum but they have all been archived so I cannot add to them.

With some websites Firefox seems to work fine. Other websites in the middle of an otherwise functional browsing session will completely fail to load, with or without a frozen loading bar. This happens on an android tablet and phone, mostly for the same websites. Sometimes I can come back to the tab a few minutes later, refresh or tap the URL bar and hit enter and it'll work. Sometimes I can copy the URL to a new tab where it will load normally. Sometimes neither method works, in which case rebooting the phone fails to fix it as well!!

On the tablet the reload button is visible on the menu bar, I found I can press and hold it which appears to do a different kind of refresh than just pressing it - I imagine akin to ctrl-f5 on Windows. This will sometimes work, but often not until a minute or two has elapsed.

I'm on Firefox 131 and has persisted for months so if it's something that should have been fixed in updates, it definitely doesn't apply to what I'm experiencing.

Please help! I am tired of having my browsing experience interrupted for multiple minutes or worse.

When I imported a config file exported from K-9 into Thunderbird for Android only the Outbox folder was shown. After exploring some options in the gear menu (thus consuming a little time) the folder list still hadn't populated. I set the phone aside for a time and came back to it. The folders had been populated. I suspect that it may have waited the Folder Poll Frequency time period (15 minutes in this case) but I don't know this for a fact. Initial setup should retrieve the folder names immediately. This will provide feedback that the setup/import was successful.

I'm having trouble breaking down the specific behavior of fingerprinting protection for the 3 settings levels.

According to the Windows release notes dated 1 October 2023, "Additionally, you can choose whether to block Suspected Fingerprinters in all windows or just in private windows", but also, "To disable Fingerprinting Protection and return to the default settings, simply select "Standard" or "Strict"

In my reading, these two statements conflict. I'm under the impression that "known fingerprinter" blocking is always active, even on standard. Does enabling "Strict" enhanced protection also enable "suspected fingerprinter" blocking, and if so, is it active on all windows or only in private browsing? Does that mean we need to use the "Custom" setting to enable suspected fingerprinting blocking in all windows?

My question is the same for Firefox for Android 131.0, except in the mobile app's case, the release notes contain even less detail - so I could also be off-base there. TBH I am probably missing something obvious, so if anybody can even point me in the right direction I'd be grateful!

Thanks for any insight anybody can provide!
