I have firefox on a Windows 10 laptop plus two android phones and two android tablets. The Bookmarks on the laptop, both tablets and one phone are shown in alphabetic order. The Bookmarks on one phone are in random order. How can I make these Bookmarks list in alphabetic order? I have read that I cannot simply reorder the bookmarks, so I probably need to delete the bookmarks, ON THIS PHONE ONLY and definitely not on my other devices. Then would "Sync” import the Bookmarks from "the cloud"? Or would "Sync" export the now-empty "Bookmarks" folder from this phone to the cloud?

Hi. I have some feature requests for Firefox for Android.

- pos of the address bar when typing: The feature to change the position of address bar is useful. But other search bars and the suggestions are still on the top. While putting the address bar makes it easy to access, it confuses my eye movements. I think there should be an option to change the address bar when typing. - shortcuts: I'm using a Samsung Galaxy phone and they have a feature to set some shortcuts like forward and search in app to an action. On this point, Firefox is inferior than Chrome for me. Chrome supports these shortcuts.

how do i remove all this new tab seach and search in this time garbage and stupid share crap, its annoying as hell i dont use that garbage and all it does is fill up my used to be clean and neat top of my screen i only need my drop down menu , all this new crap i dont want or use and never will i need all of it gone, not hidden !!! it needs to go period !!!! absolutely no use only pisses me off and I don't want it in my drop down menu either everything I need is in my drop down menu don't need or want anything else , I understand other people want things like that why can't you make them add-ons so if they want it they can add it to there computer and if someone does not want it they don't have to add it nor do they have those it or they don't have to waste time only to find out they are stuck with that new garbage that makes shit harder for them and completely passes them off where they only want to knock the person teeth out put put it on there computer ! why would you want to create more hate in this world by put shit on a computer that someone does not want and believe me the hate you create is very real ! and people can only carry so much hate before people snap and you see those who snap on the news and people can't understand why they snap its because people fuck with there reality ! someday that person might just snap because of something they can't remove from there computer that passes them off ! you people need to think about that shit none of you even think about stuff like that ! because you could be the person that causes it and all you had to do to make it not happen is make any new idea you want to add make it the person who owns the computer their choice if they want it on there computer or not , by giving the owner the choice you could save somebody's life many times over just by making it a choice !!! hopefully you people think about it because one day you could be the one who gets blamed for beening the reason the person snapped and you go to jail !

Hi Bookmarking over the last 3-4 updates have changed a lot. Adding a bookmark these days now by default ends up n the folder I last visited ... even visited on my PC (bookmarks are shared via my Firefox account). I therefore have to edit the location every time I'm adding a new bookmark, a tiresome and not needed not wanted process. I liked the old default on the Android version so much better. It had its own folder (when viewing bookmarks on my PC), and was clearly separated by mobile (I using two mobiles). Had hoped there was an optional default to modify, but if there is I cant find it. I'm I missing something. Cheers Bjarne

Firstly I've been a Firefox on android user forever & thanks so much for a fab browser all round. Even if it runs slower, for some reason at times than say Chrome on this phone. Please. Hoping there a setting to disable the below total annoyance, not convenience, for just a few of us it seems from my weeks & weeks of looking up. I'm truly amazed most are fine with it & I'm here finally as fed up with searching the web for already answered

So. I do not want, need nor appreciate the new, "convenience", of when I want to add a new bookmark to a folder, now comes with the little pop-up that shows it will be saved to the last folder a bookmark was saved to.

Sure there's an edit function to click to manually choose the folder from the big drop down bookmarks menu. But. If you're not fast enough, like less than 2 secs, it will auto save to the folder u don't want it in.

Then u easily forget what folder that your new bookmark went to. Again, sure you can immediately go to the filled star on the page site, click that, muck around with editing so it lands in the correct folder.... Or other muck arounds.

But this is all just more clicks, supposed to be saving my time? Perhaps it's great for those in a work situ or with 100s of folders Idk.

I did manage to muck around with "Homepage" settings a some weeks ago to somehow disable that autosave or edit popup, to regain the more simple option of choosing my own folder when hitting the add new bookmark star.

Seemed to work for a while. But then after exiting the browser app on my phone, just one random day open Firefox & it defaulted back to this auto save popup. And although as I said I managed to fix it in settings for homepage, I just can't get it right now or no longer an option. Tired but not stupid old brain ha.

The oddest thing is although I manually update Firefox consistent & regularly, the last 2? versions i slacked off. Now this issue began way after the update of the current version I'm using!

If, & I'm hoping it will be a fix, just getting the latest version gives me the option or fix great. Currently on v133.1 i think. Otherwise, disappointed but will likely stick with Firefox still. Thanks kindly for the help or anything if any, anyone.

I need a default search string in order to add Firefox as a search option. Directions on the app advise how to add a search option, but a default search string is required and I haven't been able to figure out what use. https://firefox.com/search is the best I can guess. Any help for an old man is appreciated.

That was a useful feature, and we were still able to long press either buttons to navigate history on the fly, or refresh (if not using pull-to-refresh from the top of the page). And now it's gone, with no way to long press the NavBar back button for history, and we have to do an extra press on the 3 dot menu? What the heck gives!
