On my old phone, a OnePlus 9 Pro, I used to be able to bring up the browsing history of the current tab I was on by holding down the back button. But since some time in December and continuing in to my new phone, a OnePlus 13R, I have lost that functionality and do not know what happened. Was it patched out in a Firefox update or is it my device brand?

In the last couple updates my mobile Firefox on my note20 (direct through Google play, fully updated) has lacked (lost) the ability to hold the back button to bring up the history of that tab so I could go forward to a page. It had disappeared a long time ago so I refused to update the browser on my old phone then when I got this one found that it had returned, now it's gone again. PLEASE BRING IT BACK AND LEAVE IT BE.

Thank you, Eugene

Ps. I don't see the option in the settings anymore either so it's not something I can re-enable myself.

Recently (a couple of months ago) a "standard" feature shared between Desktop and Mobile suddenly stopped working on my Android, and this cripples the use of many "secure" websites.

We could click-and-hold, long-press, call-it-whatever, the Back button and instead of trying to go back one page Firefox would show a screenful of pages, like clicking the drop-down next to Back on the desktop version. I could click on the bottom link, then immediately hold again and go back another half screen, and in two clicks go back probably 70 pages.

Why has this essential functionality been removed? How do we get it back? Can I roll back to a specific browser version just before it was removed?

This function is so core to my effective use of Firefox that I would choose it over any notional "security" or "stability" enhancements from having a later version.

Examples of why this is *not* a trivial problem--

On a banking or government logged in site, going back several pages (say, to before the login pages) is critical to continue reading the information you were reading when your session timed out (when the alternative is either try to click Back quickly several times but end up at the login page again, or spend half an hour following the obscure links to try to remember how you found the information in the first place).

On a shopping site, having gone to the checkout and emptied your basket, if you need to go back and place a second order for things you've just been looking at but did put in your basket, it is critical to be able to go Back multiple pages to skip over the payment security screens, otherwise most shopping sites either hijack the Back button or get terribly confused whether you want to pay again or why it can't display the contents of your empty basket.

On Google Translate, it's essential to be able to do this to flip back to previous translation attempts, because when you type text at the keypad the silly webpage takes every keypress as a new webpage in the stack, so you often have to go back 100 times just to get the previous successfully translated sentence.

The long-press back button no longer summons the tab's history on my Android phone or my Galaxy tab. Mozilla appears to have disabled this feature quite recently. I'm referring to the small arrow in the lower right-hand corner that you hit quickly to go back once. It was quite useful to do a long press on the arrow and have the history of the tab pop up in a list. You could then pick any page on the list and go directly back, skipping over all the other pages.

Please reinstate this useful feature?

Firefox android keeps a full history of entries form the address bar. This list is very helpful when using "search history" option for address bar autocomplete or suggestions. ("Firefox suggests")

HOWEVER, it is insanity inducing when invalid entries exist in that list, as they are endlessly suggested, but cannot easily be exorcised from said list.

Sure, the list can be displayed, and individual or even multiple entries can be displayed (as described in this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-your-browsing-history-firefox-android

However, this technique requires you to manually scroll through thousands of entries to select the items you may wish. There is no tool to sort the list or any other list manipulation tools. There is a search function, as identified by the magnifying glass icon in the menu bar, and the search tool quickly displayed all the target appearances from the thousands. It even conveniently shows them on the search results page... BUT you cannot effect any of the actions available for the unsearched list. All you can do is open one of the search results. You can't delete, select or anything.

This makes editing the history for invalid or otherwise undesirable entries IMPOSSIBLE.

The tool set needs to be extended to the search results list, or some other tool needs to be provided to edit the history in some other way.

Any suggestions are welcome, this could also be considered s feature suggestion. My only option is to use a different browser, and that is very unplayable to me. I am a radio firefox defender.

The question is simple: Are there plans for adding timestamps to search history so that one could see on what date they visited that web page just like in Chrome? The date of visit would be enough although it would be even better if there'd be an exact time of refreshing that page. Or are there known add-ons to Firefox for Android that do that? Thank you.

When using a traditional 3-button navigation bar for my system UI, I can long-press the "back" button to call up the current tab's history, allowing me to navigate back or forward several steps at once. However, when using gesture navigation at the system level, there no longer is a back button to hold. How do I open the individual history in that case?

My Firefox mobile tabs have stopped updating. Every time I close and reopen the app, it gets stuck on an old session. It’s supposed to save my open tabs and return to where I left off, but now, when I reopen Firefox, it reverts to the tabs from two days ago and no longer updates.

I currently have around 1,025 tabs open (I read a lot of Chinese online web novels). Bookmarks and history are still updating properly(when i click on history it still show the website i visited recently). The thumbnails in the tab list also display the correct version (the one I last used), but when I click on a tab, it reloads and goes back to the version from two days ago. i try to backup date on phone using firefox-android-backup-restore on github and saved as tar.gz . i can share that here if needed. what i could do to fix it except deleting firefox data. i don't want to lose all my opening tabs.
