Restarted my PC; all of my bookmarks disappeared. NOT acceptable. (Or is this just another "improvement" from Firefox . . . ?)

Where did they go; how do I retrieve them?

Really don't want to wait days until there's a response, as I DO USE MY BOOKMARKS ALL OF THE TIME.

Can anyone help. A forced update was done to firefox and when relaunching it was like I had never used it before. All bookmarks and passwords were gone. When logging onto my account not record of my bookmarks. When looking on my desktop there was nothing there either. Is there anyway to get these back?

Man hatte mir eine neue FAssung von firefox eingespielt - firefox VPN. Danach waren meine Passwörter, die Chronik und verschwunden und eine veraltete Lesezeichen-Datei noch vorhanden. Wie komme ich an meine ursprünglichen Daten? Wo liegen diese?

I got a PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR and cant visit some websites. I followed the correction instructions but now i am severely limited in my browsing. I created a new profile and lost my bookmarks and some important websites. Can i go back to my previous profile? .

i lost all my data from firefox, i restored my windows( formatted my disk and installed new windows), then signed in, and there is nothing, all things is gone, pls help me to restore my data

After the update, a window popped up asking me to select a profile. But my profile, where all my passwords, bookmarks, etc. were, was gone. I couldn't restore my bookmarks because the only one available was from today and it`s "clean." Is there any way to restore my account data? Because everything was there: settings, bookmarks, passwords, history.

After last update 3/26/26 I have lost all my bookmarks and my tab bar most used and cannot recover. I pulled up some steps and still cannot recover. When you get ready to make a drastic change like this why dont you get a notice that this type of information will be changing. I need to recover these asap.

I'm not sure what happened. I restarted my laptop and when I tried jumping onto Firefox it didn't have my normal accounts on it they were gone and I had to make a new one which means all of my bookmarks are gone, none of my accounts are logged in I am freaking out! What happened?!?!

Firefox update removed all my bookmarks, recovered and windows update screwed them all up. Can;t find a solution to my issure..........

This isn't exactly something that is broken but it is something that is plenty weird and I wondered if anyone has an idea how it happens.

I shut down my Linux laptop one day and when I started it the next day, all my tabs were gone. Annoying, but I spent some time searching for the most important ones and got on with my life.

We have a class picture book that is only accessible by faculty from campus or using the secure VPN. It helps us to learn people's names. It is an HTML file. One day, I needed to look someone up. Ordinarily that would open a new tab in the browser I have running, but it didn't. A whole new Firefox appeared for it and there were all my lost tabs.

Wut?

Now I can use the picture book to alternate between my old tabs and my new ones. How on Earth can this happen? It isn't exactly something that is broken, just something I don't understand.

Receive the error message "Firefox unable to process file" when I attempt to restore my bookmarks. I have used the browse option and drilled down to my Firefox profile and chosen an older backup file but get the same error
