For some scrollables, v153 doesn't respect the Mac OS setting to hide scrollbars unless scrolling on page load. If that OS setting is adjusted after the page is loaded, then the page respects it again until refresh, so there's apparently some sort of race condition going on where it's not reading the setting in time before the page loads?

This is not a problem in v152. I downgraded back to v152 and it's working again.

One of my "Login required" sites (Call it Site One) is prompting me with a username when I click into the Username entry box. Unfortunately, the username it's prompting me for is from "Site Two".

I have never saved a username for Site One. The username it's prompting me with is from a completely different domain name, Site Two.

I searched Usernames/passwords and found only one occurrence for the username it is prompting with. It's properly listed under the correct Site Two. I deleted it anyway to test. That made no difference: it still appears in the drop down for Site One (after restarting Firefox).

Just to be clear: Site One has no stored usernames or passwords. I've never stored a username or password for Site One. I have done so for Site Two (but again, that's now deleted). Yet this username, which is now not stored anywhere in Firefox, is still appearing as a prompt for Site One.

Lastly, this is not a new issue. This problem dates back months.

Hello all, I have FF 152.0.6 in use on Fedora 43 xfce Qubes OS VMs. The only issue I have encountered is when I try to load the web UI for Proxmox Datacenter Manager. As soon as I log in to the web UI Firefox vanishes. I have tried this in troubleshooting mode with the same results. I can open the same web UI in a Debian 13 Qube and it works perfectly. The FF version there is v.140.13.0esr. These are simply the default versions that come with Qubes 4.3 templates. I can also access the web UI in the original Fedora Qube with Chromium browser with no crash. I have also tried a different Fedora qube with the same failure result as the original.

I can use Chromium but would prefer a streamlined experience with just one browser. I thank all of you in advance any thoughts or suggestions. I am a long time Firefox and Mozilla user.

Have a great day. SS

My bookmark toolbar is empty. I have made sure "Always Show" is checked. I have tried to put new Web Sites on the toolbar to no avail. Nothing seems to bring back my bookmarks. I have added the little star with the bracket under it to the bookmark toolbar. It has many of the previous bookmarks but many are also missing. Entire folders are missing. I have been messing around with the tabs toolbar because they are about 30% too tall. About 1" too tall. 3/4" above text and 1/4" below. About 1/3rd of my screen is taken by tool bars. Approx 1 1/8" by the bookmark toolbar alone which is showing only the star with the bracket under it ( Far left of line ).

I remember not too long ago, I could copy/paste blocks of links, in the format of link1|link2|link3|etc, to save current tabs as my homepage if I needed to close firefox and not loose my tabs. But now, I have to manually add and remove each link individually (see screenshot). And it only shows the site domain, not information specific to the actual page I want to keep so I don't know if I'm deleting something that's not needed or important. I usually have 50+ pages that need to managed: saved, removed, reordered, etc. I used to be able to set up one browser window exactly how I want it and click button to save current tabs as home screen. It was so easy.

Is there any way I can revert back to the old way of saving homepages? Or any other suggestions to have tabs reliably reload? I need a solution to be guaranteed to work to not lose important work, using current tabs as homepage accomplished this. This is one of the major reasons I used firefox.

When I select a YouTube home page video mute icon, for sound on a preview, it pops up a mini-player, a notice that I have "saved to watch later," or toggles the mute as expected. Intermittent and unpredictable. I can select one mute icon that toggles the sound, and the preview beside it pops up a watch later.

Win10, Firefox 152.0.6 (64-bit) today, but this has been with me about the last two iterations.

I ran though eleventy-billion experiments and there was no effect from any toggling of settings, add-ons, file deletions, toggled logouts, forced refreshes, you name it. The single positive is that the keyboard "m" works fine to toggle mute in a video page playback, but not the previews at home. I followed AI advice after I gave up on my own ideas, and after recommending everything under the sun the only conclusion offered was related to failed mouse tracking, which is nuts to me. Everything works fine except this YouTube oddity, including videos or sound output on other sites. I was actually surprised that nothing changed YouTube behaviour after my freaking out on FF details; doesn't mean the trick isn't in there somewhere.

In simple terms, I have not read reports of this problem and I have no idea how to proceed.

A website I user, www.advisor.ca, displays a banner across the top which obscures some of the text in Firefox but displays correctly in Chrome. The attached images are for the page https://www.advisor.ca/tax/tax-news/court-dismisses-challenge-to-cras-administration-of-cap-gains-tax-proposal/. Our team has already tried to fix the issue for a week now and none of the approaches seem to fix the issue. Does the Firefox dev department have any hints or clues for us?

Short description: Firefox network.lna.blocking blocks same-origin/loopback requests when the page is controlled by a Service Worker

Symptom: Login via OIDC fails in Firefox (the backend call after the IdP redirect is blocked). The error disappears if either network.lna.blocking=false is set or the Service Worker is disabled.

Environment: - Frontend (react) and backend run on the same machine (loopback/localhost)—no cross-network scenario. - Firefox with active network.lna.blocking (experimental Local Network Access feature, Chromium’s equivalent is Private Network Access).

Root Cause (Analysis): 1. apps/react/sw.js registers a global fetch listener via Workbox and calls workbox.core.clientsClaim(). This causes every open page to be immediately controlled by the Service Worker. 2. registerServiceWorker() is called unconditionally on every app start, regardless of authentication state—even on the login/OIDC page. 3. The app uses hash-routing (URL fragments like “#/oidc”); the login page and the rest of the app share the same document URL, so you can’t restrict the SW scope to “everything except login.” 4. Once a page is Service-Worker-controlled, every fetch—including requests not explicitly handled by Workbox routes—first goes through the SW’s fetch event (default behavior when any fetch listener is registered) before proceeding to the network if it isn’t intercepted. 5. Hypothesis: Firefox’s LNA implementation doesn’t correctly inherit the address-space classification (loopback/private/public) for SW-forwarded requests across the controlling client. A direct document fetch (loopback→loopback) is allowed, but an identical target fetch routed through the SW is blocked.

Reproduction (minimal): 1. Use Firefox with network.lna.blocking=true (the default in affected versions). 2. Load a page that registers a Service Worker with a fetch-event listener (e.g. via Workbox precacheAndRoute + clientsClaim()). 3. Ensure both the page and the target resource are served from localhost/loopback. 4. From the SW-controlled page, call fetch() against the loopback target resource → the request is blocked. 5. By comparison, the same fetch from a non-SW-controlled page succeeds. 6. Setting network.lna.blocking=false also allows the fetch to succeed under SW control.

Excluded Causes: - Different address spaces for frontend/backend (both are on the same loopback machine)—ruled out. - Misclassification due to redirect_uri or cross-origin navigation—the OIDC redirect is a top-level navigation (unaffected); only the subsequent backend call (token exchange/session validation in SsoLogin.tsx → ssoLoginSubmit) fails.
