I teach an online Adobe Illustrator Course. Students upload (.ai) Adobe Illustrator files. Not .svg or .pdf. But Firefox changes the (.ai) extension to (.pdf) upon downloading. This is HIGHLY irritating. Firefox, in prior versions, did not do this. In Firefox settings for Applications, there isn't a choice for .ai (Adobe Illustrator) files. I 'assume' that when AI (artificial intelligence) became available is when Firefox began automatically changing (.ai) files to (.pdf). PLEASE SOLVE this as I have to manually change the (.pdf) extension BACK to (.ai) HUNDREDS of times a day.

After the last update, I have lost all of my bookmarks!! Why? I am really upset about this. Least of all, this is not acceptable. I had some really important websites in my saved bookmarks that I needed, now I am at square-one. I am not a happy camper. Leave our settings alone.....!! Now, is there any way to get our bookmarks back? What do we do? I really need help - any help, please...... Thank you.

After it updated to 147.0.3 it says that it is not compatibile with miniversion 147.0.2 nor with maxiversion 147.0.2. It suggests re installing (done) so can now at least access Mozilla again but still says at varying times not compatible etc. It is Windows 10 Any suggestions?

I have Norton 360. I just reinstalled a brother printer and now I get the "Your browser is being managed by your organization". While I sync with my laptop, as others have said, I'm not an organization. There is an Enterprise policy .

I can't store or edit any bookmarks. How do I correct this? I need answers in very simple terms as I am very much a layman with computers. Thank You!

After updating to Firefox 147.0.3 all of my browser history (along with open tabs at the time of updating) is lost. I just updated to Windows 11 workstations (plus a couple of older Windows 10 workstations) to the current (Feb 2026) updates too. However the history data was lost before the Windows updates. I noticed that with the previous update of Firefox that saved login information was also lost. Who is doing your program updates, a chimp?

In the past when an update was done the browser would open back up with all of the previous versions session tabs in tact. But not now.

I've lost several tabs of research that was being done. Based on what has been happening, I will HAVE to change to some other browser. This is a shame as I've been a loyal Firefox user since day one. Good bye Mozilla and Firefox.

New Window slider (see screen shot ) in settings unchecks when Firefox is closed and opened. I have completed a fully uninstalled FF and completed a clean installation to check that was not the issue. It was not. It has been a few weeks now so not sure which upgrade fried it.

The most recent update has caused an issue with LinkedIn. The problem only occurs with Firefox, not with Chrome or Edge. Do you know what it is? How to fix it? The profile photos are being overwritten with the name of the person and title.

ich habe ein Problem. Beim gestrigen Hochfahren meines Rechners und Start von Firefox war meine ganze Struktur weg.

Tabs und Gruppen waren futsch und somit wurden alle darin gespeicherten Seiten ohne Struktur angezeigt. :-(

Wie kann ich die Gruppen wieder öffnen?

Online habe ich hierzu nichts gefunden.

Po aktualizacji Firefoxa do wersji 147.0.3 (64 bity) nie mam dostępu do haseł zapisanych przez lata. To już drugi taki przypadek, a pierwszy naprawił się po nowej aktualizacji. To cyfrowa inteligencja rządzi Firefoxem?

It seems that the bookmarks function and history files are possibly "in use by another app". I do not understand much of this. I think it happened after an update. I tried a restore point. I deleted the Icons file as it seemed that might be an issue and they would automatically update on restart. I called Dell support, they could not fix it, neither could my smart, younger friends. So after hours of frustration, I had to install chrome, which I hate. What I want is for someone to just fix it. Its 2:30am and I need to get some sleep, I will check this tomorrow afternoon and see if I can get anywhere. Good night all!

Web pages that are supposed to contain emojis are blank. I can highlight where emojis are supposed to be shown but the actual images of the emojis aren't there. about:config font.name-list.emoji correctly contains "Apple Color Emoji" If it is relevant, this has been a bug/issue that has persisted for a couple of months now (can't name an exact date).
